US fastfood chain Burger King is to rebrand some of its Australian restaurants.

Burger King plans to change 81 of its Burger King branded fastfood restaurants there to the Hungry Jack’s name, which already covers 208 stores.

The planned rebranding is due to a dispute about franchise agreements and the company said it would be more competitive under the one banner.

Burger King plans to open a further 100 Hungry Jack’s restaurants in Australia in the next five years, reported the Australian.
