UK food manufacturer Premier Foods plc has revealed plans to close its Hovis head office in Windsor.
Premier told just-food today (15 July) that it has brought its manufacturing operations under a single shared services centre for many administrative functions.

A spokesperson said that with its corporate centre and head office based in St Albans and a shift away from having divisions within the business, the company no longer requires a head office for bread brand Hovis.
It plans to consolidate the Windsor office’s activities in St Albans and its food technology centre at High Wycombe. Some 140 people work at the Windsor site but the spokesperson said it was “too early to say” how many would become redundant.
“The proposed closure is part of the ongoing integration and simplification of the business and is expected to take place in the next six to nine months,” the spokesperson said.
The site is involved in administration, planning, sales and marketing, HR, finance, procurement and technology.
