UK retailer Tesco is extending its own-label Everyday Value range into the frozen category.

A spokesperson for the company told just-food today (26 September) the retailer was launching 100 frozen products under the Everyday Value own label, which was relaunched in April.

According to the spokesperson, new products include: Everyday Value spaghetti bolognese, cottage pie and beef lasagne, available for GBP1 (US$1.62).

Other Everyday Value frozen products, such as chicken guojons and pops, will be priced at GBP2. The range will also feature frozen desserts, such as ice cream cons and apple pie.

Tesco is also expanding the number of branded frozen products on offer. The company is adding “hundreds” of new products to its line-up, the spokesperson said. For example, Tesco will begin stocking a number of new Birds Eye and Young’s fish and poultry products.
