Professor Dobson, of Loughborough University, has recently completed a report on the subject of own-label loss leaders, and revealed that the practice is adding too much price pressure on smaller retailers such as corner shops who rely on customers buying their essentials products.
 
The report will be presented to the Federation of Bakers’ annual conference in London.
