LDC has announced a tie-up with Spanish co-operative Alimentacion Natural (AN Coop) as the French poultry group looks to increase its presence in the market.
The alliance will see LDC and AN Coop jointly manage their poultry abattoirs in Spain. Provision is also made under the deal for LDC to take a majority stake in a joint venture company that specialises in the development, production and marketing of processed products.
“After the successful recovery of our activities in Poland, it constitutes an important stage in the group’s deployment in Europe,” LDC said.
