Allied Bakeries, the bread business of Associated British Foods, has unveiled a swathe of new product launches behind its Kingsmill brand.

In an announcement today (3 May), the company said that it will introduce its Kingsmill 50/50 “healthier” white varieties to the world category. The group is launching Kingsmill 50/50 Wraps; Kingsmill Pockets, available in both 50/50 and white; and Kingsmill 50/50 Deli Softs.

Allied Bakeries said that it hopes the launches will allow Kingsmill to capitalise on growth in the world foods category, which has expanded by 7.7% over the last year.

“We are delighted to be delivering such an innovative range of products to the market. As well as responding to concerns from consumers about finding exciting alternatives for summer meals, the new range will address recent growth in the breads of the world category,” category manager Guy Shepherd commented.
