Lamel, 65, will remain with the company through a transition period and until a successor is named, the company said today (5 September).
Hain said it has begun a global search for a replacement.
Lamel began his career in accounting, spending 28 years at Ernst & Young, where he retired as an audit partner in 2001 prior to joining Hain as CFO.
“Working with Ira has been an absolute pleasure,” said CEO Irwin Simon. “Ira has been a key member of our management team and a valuable advisor. Ira’s tireless contributions and commitment have been instrumental to the growth of the company.”
