Belgian-based Frima claims to have launched the first range of frozen organic ready meals – Frimabio – in France and Belgium.
The range is initially available in Auchan and Leclerc stores in the Paris region and organic food shops and is also poised to go on sale in Système U outlets in the the Paris region and north-west France. The national roll-out of Frimabio is scheduled for September this year.
The range includes eight, individual portion dishes – spaghetti bolognaise, salmon and lentils, salmon lentils and seasoned rice, ratatouille and minced beef, chicken in red pepper sauce, Tuscan chicken with olive-flavoured semolina, shrimps à la proveçale and shrimps in curry sauce as well as two pizza dishes.
