Finnish food group Raisio has established two branded divisions, which will run its consumer and licensed products.

Paul Simmonds, who oversaw UK snack firm Glisten prior to its acquisition by Raisio, has been appointed vice president of consumer brands and will oversee the company’s western, northern and eastern European food businesses. Vincent Poujarbieu has been appointed vice president of the licensed division, which, Raisio said, will consist of Benecol “in the beginning phase”.

The move hints at a sharpened operational focus at Raisio’s branded food businesses. The company will also continue to operate its agricultural arm on a separate basis.
