Belgian fruit and vegetable group Univeg has appointed Cees Ritmeester as supply chain director for its European markets.
Ritmeester has previously worked as director of value-added logistics for Netherlands-based VDV, as well as serving as Chiquita’s business director for Europe.

In his new position at Univeg, Ritmeester will be responsible for developing the supply chain throughout the Univeg group, with the aim of streamlining operations and maximising synergies across Europe.
“Supply chain management is high on the radar of Univeg group, which will allow us to continuously create value for our customers, build a competitive infrastructure, leverage our worldwide logistics and synchronise supply with demand,” Ritmeester said.
