AarhusKarlshamn has opened a sales office in Shanghai and appointed Rick Luo as country manager for China.

The speciality vegetable oil producer said that Luo’s experience in the baby food industry, including his stint as manager for operational business development for Pfizer Nutrition’s China business, make him well-positioned to grow the group’s business in the region.

“Rick Luo comes with a very good track record and will – with a lot of very relevant experience – lead the way in creating more value for our customers and our company in China”, Torben Friis Lange, VP AAK and business area president, commented. 

The opening of our China office is an important part of AAK’s growth strategy, “AAK Acceleration”, the company said. AAK wants to ramp up its local presence in emerging economies such as China in order to strengthen cooperation with customers, the company said.

This will significantly strengthen our ability to supply existing and potential new customers with our speciality oils and fats solutions and developing the good contacts already established in the Chinese market,” Friis Lange said.
