Pinnacle Foods group today (9 February) announced it has appointed Tony Fernandez as executive vice president and chief supply chain officer, effective immediately.

The US manufacturer of Mrs Butterworth’s and Bird’s Eye products said that Fernandez joins the company from Kraft, where he was most recently vice president of operations excellence at Kraft Foods.

In the role, Fernandez will have end-to-end supply chain responsibilities, including the company’s manufacturing plants, procurement, customer service, distribution and logistics networks. He will also oversee Pinnacle’s food quality and safety programmes.
