Tesco’s US Fresh & Easy banner has launched a “take-out” range of 150 food products under the name Kitchen To Go.

The range of meals, designed for “busy customers”, comprises a selection of American, Italian, Asian and Mexican appetizers, entrees and side dishes.

The products range in price from US$1.99 to $9.99 and make up a number of meal combinations, the retailer said.

‘Kitchen To Go’ dishes include American Chipotle Glazed Meatloaf, Mexican Macho Nacho Topper and Asian Thai Green Chicken Curry (with baby corn, snap peas and bell peppers).

“Customers tell us all the time about how busy they are and many feel greasy fast food is their only easy option,” said Katie Jaeger, Fresh & Easy development chef. “Now that there are essentially four restaurants under one roof at Fresh & Easy, customers can get their favourite dishes to easily heat up at home. It’s our new take on take-out and we’re excited to offer so many affordable, wholesome and delicious meal options.”

The ‘Kitchen To Go’ items contain no artificial colours, flavours, high-fructose corn syrup, or added trans fats, the retailer said.
