Mexican processed food company Grupo Herdez has said it has signed a contract to distribute Morton Salt in Mexico.

Herdez said it would make the product available in northern Mexico from September and in the rest of the country in 2004.
The deal was made through Herdez’ Mexican joint venture with US spice maker McCormick.
Herdez also distributes products for Hormel Foods and Barilla Spa in Mexico, reported Dow Jones International News.
