Symington’s has added a premium sauce line to its Chicken Tonight range in the UK following a redevelopment of the brand last year.

Aimed at attracting a younger and more affluent consumer, Gourmet Tonight is a range of wet sauces in four variants: three peppercorn; Cheddar and smoked bacon; tomato, red wine and smoked paprika; and smokey chipotle, lime and coriander.

“Bringing Gourmet Tonight to market has been an exciting journey and is a natural progression for the brand, which is known for innovation and great flavour variety,” said brand manager Finn McConway. “With Chicken Tonight and Tonight offering great family meal time options, Gourmet Tonight is aimed at bringing a younger, more affluent consumer to the wet sauce aisle, who want convenience without forgoing flavour.”

The full range of Gourmet Tonight sauces are available in Morrisons’ stores with an RRP of GBP1.69 (US$2.73).
