Lawson will open a convenience store in Tameike Sanno station in November, followed by a second store in Ikebukuro station in December, reported Dow Jones International News.
Based on how well the two stores perform, Lawson said it would consider opening more stores in subway stations in the future.
Lawson, which operates more than 7,600 stores, is looking for new locations for its outlets, in order to fend off increasing competition.
