Under the agreement, which should apply from 1 July, import duties on many plants, fruits and vegetables would be dropped and the amount of cheese that could be traded freely would be increased, according to the EU’s executive Commission.


As part of the European Economic Area (EEA), Norway pays money to the EU to guarantee access to the EU’s internal markets. Farm trade is, however, excluded from the EEA trade deal and must be negotiated separately, reported Reuters.
