General Mills has moved to cool talk it plans to launch ice cream brand Haagen-Dazs in Sri Lanka.
A spokesperson for General Mills’ subsidiary in India, where the brand is on sale, told just-food today (11 July) that there were no immediate plans to launch the ice cream in Sri Lanka. The company may look to take the brand there in the future but, it is focused on expanding in India, the spokesperson insisted.

Arindam Haldar, director of premium foods for General Mills India, had reportedly told The Hindu Business Line this week Haagen-Dazs was to be introduced into Sri Lanka.
