US agribusiness giant Cargill yesterday (31 January) announced that its VP of procurement in the company’s US beef business is retiring.
Kenneth Bull, 55, will remain with the firm until the third quarter in order to facilitate a transition to a yet-to-be-named successor.

Bull has spent 33 years with the company, joining as a senior commodity merchant responsible for grain purchases and risk management for Cargill’s cattle feed lots in Texas. In his current position, he oversees cattle procurement for the company’s ten beef processing facilities in the US and Canada.
“Ken is well known and respected throughout the beef business and he has done an outstanding job educating various audiences about our business, as well as being a voice of reason in the defense of free enterprise and open markets,” said Cargill Beef’s president, John Keating. “His passion for the North American beef business has made him a champion for beef production and his legacy will benefit the industry, its customers, and consumers, for years to come. Ken will be missed.”
