Danish retailer Dansk Supermarked has named Chris Nicholas, the former CFO of Tesco’s Polish business, as its finance chief.
In a statement yesterday (15 April), the company said Nicholas would spearhead efforts to create a “more business-driven” finance function.

“With Chris we have secured the right person to lead the efforts to raise the finance function to an international level. The main task will be to ensure a much stronger business-driven interaction between the chains, commercial and finance,” Dansk Supermarked MD Per Bank said.
Bank, himself a former Tesco executive, left the UK retailer to join Dansk Supermarked last year.
