Swiss dairy group Emmi has acquired local speciality cheese maker Käserei Studer for an undisclosed sum.

Käserei Studer, which generated sales of CHF20m (US$26m) in 2012, manufactures Der Scherfe Maxx semi-hard cheeses that are distributed in Switzerland and Germany. Emmi said it plans to expand sales by feeding Käserei Studer products into its existing international distribution channels.
