Clif Bar, maker of nutritional bars, has announced that its entire portfolio of Luna bars is to be relaunched as gluten-free in the US.
Luna, which is directly marketed to women, had launched its first gluten-free option in 2010 – Luna Protein, which Clif said was “immediately embraced by the gluten-free community”.
The firm has been working on shifting its full Luna product portfolio to gluten-free.
“We recognise that some women were not able to enjoy Luna bars because of gluten sensitivities or celiac disease,” said Tara DelloIacono Thies, manager of nutrition strategy for Luna. “We’re thrilled that we can now share our bars with all women.”
Bars are available at retailers nationwide at an RSP of US$1.39.
