The company employs just under 100 staff and has an annual turnover of €14m (US$14.7m).
The purchase will boost Norac’s export activities (which currently account
for around 15% of its €300m turnover) as 65% of the tomatoes, peppers and other fresh vegetables processed by Sud n’Sol are sold outside of France.
The move will also diversify Norac’s product range which to date has centred on biscuits, pre-packed Viennese pastries and fresh sandwiches.
Based in Rennes, Norac employs 1,400 staff. French bank, Credit Agricole, has a 20% stake in Norac.
