The Greek company, which already has manufacturing operations in Bulgaria, Romania and Poland, is expected to announce the expansion as it holds the ceremony of the official opening of its confectionery plant in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 14 September.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Chipita plans to establish manufacturing units in some of the 130 countries in which US soft drinks giant PepsiCo operates, after the two companies enter into a four-year investment programme this autumn.
