Delta Food is to invest AED40m (US$10.8m) in an expansion project at its site in The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone.
The firm already produces milk powder, plus sauces and a range of tomato products. The expansion will see it add dairy lines including cream and milk, a spokesperson for Delta Food told just-food.
The company said it needed to “develop operations and increase its food exports to Middle East and African markets”.
Delta Food has a presence in markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the Middle East, plus African nations like Ethiopia and Djibouti.
Shiraz Osman, director and founder of Delta Food, said: “Delta has sought, since its establishment in 2011, to compete with major international companies in the food industry, and consequently it succeeded in building a network of clients in 16 countries to become one of the leading companies in importing and exporting raw materials for the food industry.”
