Kellogg has agreed to a settlement fee of US$3.99m in a class action lawsuit against its 'all natural' claims for its Kashi product in Florida.
The lawsuit was filed in 2012 by Katrina Garcia and Laura Eggnatz, who each receive US$5,000 under the settlement after they alleged Kashi had falsely claimed its products are all natural. Plaintiffs claimed GMOs the products use can result in insecticides and other chemicals inserted into plants' genetic codes remaining in consumers' blood.

Kellogg has agreed to fully reimburse class members who provide receipts and pay up to US$27.50 to members who don't show proof of purchase for Kashi Golean Crunch! cereal or other products.
Kellogg reached a similar class action in California last July, agreeing to pay out US$5m.
Kellogg could not be reached for comment at time of press.
