Over the next six months, US food giant Kraft Foods is planning to install US$3m worth of additional equipment at its coffee packaging plant in the Leningrad region.

The new equipment, which will come from Germany, Italy and Spain, will enable the plant to increase its production and expand its product line. Production is expected to increase 25% following the installation and set up of the new lines.

Kraft said the investment was prompted by growing demand for its branded coffee, such as Maxwell House and Jacobs, reported Interfax.
