UK tea and coffee retailer Whittard of Chelsea said its like-for-like sales in the eight weeks to 19 January rose 10%.
Whittard said it made a first half profit of £9,000 (US$14,670) compared with a first half loss of £845,000 in 2001. In the six months to 24 November, like-for-like sales rose 7%.
