Thailand’s second-largest supermarket chain, Big C Supercenter, has forecast sales to grow 10% in 2003 from the 38bn baht (US$890.4m) it posted for 2002.

The company also announced it has allocated 3bn baht for capital expenditure this year to upgrade existing stores and open four new stores, reported Reuters.
Big C is 67% owned by French retailer Casino and currently operates 32 outlets.
