Swiss chocolate and chewing gum producer Chocolat Frey has posted sales of CHF329m (US$243.5m) for 2002, up 4.5% compared to 2001.
Chocolat Frey, owned by Swiss retailer Migros, produced a total of 34,700 tonnes of chocolate in 2002, up 5% year-on-year.
The company’s turnover from chewing gum sales rose 21% year-on-year to CHF19.7m for 2002.
Chocolat Frey’s exports were up 12.4% year-on-year to CHF47.7m, accounting for 40% of the company’s turnover in 2002.
The company introduced 40 new products in 2002, reported the Swiss News Digest.
