Natural Balance Foods has launched a bite-sized version of its Nakd bars.

Nakd Nibbles has been rolled out as a "healthier snack" for on-the-go, topping foods or sharing.
Nakd Nibbles are a blend of pure fruit and nuts. They contain no-added sugar and are gluten, wheat and dairy-free. The first four flavours on Asda shelves will be Tooty Fruity, Strawberries & Cream, Coconut Bliss and Fruit Salad.

Marina Love, marketing director at Natural Balance Foods said: “Nakd Nibbles is perfectly timed to appeal to consumers looking for a tasty snack that’s also healthy and will help to drive the 64% of Nakd growth that is already incremental to the category."

The company also confirmed its shareholders were "considering options" following press reports founders – brother Greg and Jamie Combs – were looking for an outside investor.

"After 10 years, some early Natural Balance Foods shareholders are amicably considering retirement. Therefore the remaining shareholders, including founders Greg and Jamie Combs, are considering options.  This is a private matter," a spokesperson said.

"The Natural Balance Foods mission steadfastly remains to pioneer and champion the Wholefood Revolution around the globe and the team continues to be passionately committed to the business.”
