FrieslandCampina has named Jaska de Bakker as the new chief financial officer of the Dutch dairy giant, succeeding Hein Schumacher when he takes the CEO role at the start of the new year.
Existing chief executive Roelof Joosten is due to depart after more than 10 years service.

De Bakker joined the cooperative at the beginning of the year, serving as director of finance for its consumer products Asia division in Singapore. Her career encompasses CFO of project management consultancy Royal HaskoningDHV and various positions at European confectioner Leaf before it was combined with Swedish peer Cloetta.
FrieslandCampinaalso announced today (14 November) the creation of an executive leadership team consisting of the executive board – Schumacher and de Bakker – and the presidents of its four business groups: consumer dairy, specialised nutrition, ingredients and basic dairy. FrieslandCampina China, formed in 2016, and a “number of corporate functions” will also be included.
When the CEO reshuffle was announced in August, FrieslandCampina chairman Frans Keurentjes said the company was entering “a new phase in which will give priority to quick and adequate response to market developments”. Schumacher himself said he would “guide the organisation to the next stage”.
