Sodexho, a food and facilities management provider in the US, has signed an agreement with Abuelita Mexican Foods/S&K Industries, to provide bulk corn tortilla chips to Sodexho accounts in the mid-Atlantic area of the US.
Since 1 January 2002, Abuelita has provided both pre-cooked dry and frozen uncooked chips.
“We chose Abuelita because of its product quality and regional reputation,” said Bernard Royer, Sodexho’s senior VP, purchasing and distribution. “Their frozen uncooked tortilla chips are ideal for fresh on-site preparation.”
“Sodexho strives to partner with enterprises such as Abuelita Mexican Foods/S&K Industries, Inc. to […] participate in the development of the communities where we do business,” Royer added: “We also value the expertise they have in serving a growing segment of the community.”
Marie Forman, Abuelita’s director of sales, added: “We are delighted that Sodexho has given us a chance to prove that our small company produces top quality Mexican products unlike any others.”
