Food giant Nestlé has introduced a number of organic products to the Spanish market for the first time.

The products it has launched in Spain include the full range of baby food Naturnes Bio, as well as some organic coffee products.

Some 65% of the products will be manufactured in Nestlé’s factories in Miajadas (Cáceres), La Penilla de Cayón (Cantabria), Sebares (Asturias) and Reus (Tarragona).

The company said the launch is in response to consumer demand.

“Nestlé has decided to bet heavily on organic products in our country,” the company said in a statement.

Laurent Dereux, the CEO of Nestlé’s Spanish arm, said: “Consumers demand more and more healthy and sustainable products.”
