Coca-Cola Co. is readying the launch of a range of dairy products in India.

The US drinks behemoth has dabbled in India’s dairy market in recent years. For example, in early 2016, Coke conducted a pilot launch of a flavoured-milk brand, Vio, at selected Reliance Retail outlets across the country.

T Krishnakumar, the president of Coca-Cola’s operations in India and south-west Asia, was quoted by local media said the company had learnt from the pilot launch of Vio.

“We have lot of learning from what ever we have done and we have absorbed the learning. Now we are reformulating and working on a range which will have a better connect with the consumer. So you would see [us] coming out with a range of dairy products,” Krishnakumar said.

Asked what dairy products Coke planned to launch and when, a spokesperson for the company’s Indian arm told just-food: “We are working on a range which will have a better connect with the consumer. So you would see us coming out with a range of dairy products in the near future. One cannot put an exact time frame to this but we will keep you updated on the developments.”
