The Vietnamese health ministry has revealed that it will be checking the folic acid levels in US firm Mead Johnson’s powdered baby milk product after labels indicated that it actually contained 52 times the quantity permitted in Vietnam.

The milk product, which is manufactured in Thailand, will be investigated by a special team in a bid to see if its labelling matches its ingredients.
The Nong Nghiep Vietnam (Vietnam Agriculture) paper reported that a cross-departmental taskforce would ask Mead Johnson to provide further information on the content of its products.
