German discount grocery giant Lidl is to open its first ten outlets in Finland next Thursday [29 August].

The stores are situated throughout the country, in Forssa, Iisalmi, Jyvaskyla, Kaarina, Kemi, Kempele, Kouvola, Lappeenranta, Pirkkala and Aanekoski. They will be serviced by Lidl’s 30,000m² logistics centre in Janakkala, southern Finland.
According to a report in Rakli, the 5,000-supermarket strong company has plans to open new stores in many towns throughout Finland by the end of this year.
