Australia-based infant-formula company Jatenergy has entered into a five-year manufacturing and supply agreement with a new customer, Beta A2 Australia.

In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), on which it is listed, Jatenergy said the agreement requires it to manufacture and supply Beta with Beta’s milk-formula products – branded Farmers Beta A2 – from its Australian National Milk Association (ANMA) production facility.

An initial order for the first four months, with the first delivery slated for February 2020, has been received. It is worth more than AUD1.8m (US$1.2m).

Beta has provided a forecast for the following eight months, starting June 2020, which amounts to orders of more than AUD4.9m.

Jatenergy CEO Wilton Yao said: “We are delighted that Beta has chosen us to manufacture their premium product. The contract shows that our new ANMA factory is performing as a quality dairy manufacturer to produce premium quality infant formula. 

“We look forward to continuing to expand the manufacturing volumes once our new equipment is installed in February 2020.”
