US coffee house operator Starbucks yesterday [Thursday] reported consolidated net revenues of US$338m for the five-week period ended 29 September 2002, an increase of 26% from consolidated net revenues of $268m for the same period in fiscal 2001.

On a comparable store sales basis (stores open for at least 13 months), sales at company-operated stores increased 9% for the five weeks ended 29 September as compared to the same five-week period in fiscal 2001, the company said.


For the 52 weeks ended 29 September, consolidated net revenues were $3.3bn, an increase of 24% from consolidated net revenues of $2.6bn for the same period in fiscal 2001. Comparable store sales increased 6% for the 52 weeks ended 29 September, as compared to the same 52-week period in fiscal 2001.
