
The Spain-based vegetable products group Huercasa has incorporated an operation in the US.
Huercasa USA will be based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is majority owned by the Spanish group which has a product offering including sweetcorn, soups, salad and lentils.
Huercasa has partnered with US-based Luca Distribution in the venture. Huercasa said its American partner, of Hispanic origin, is “well acquainted with the country and its commercial channels, and will also provide institutional and financial support”.
Huercasa will ship vegetable products from its Spanish plants in Sanchonuños (Segovia) and San Miguel del Arroyo (Valladolid), for distribution and sale in the US.
The new company will distribute Huercasa products in the US, Mexico, and Canada.
Huercasa USA will be managed by Alex Guzman.
