Greenpeace and INFACT Canada, which commissioned the survey, said that their aim was to show that parents are not always aware of what they are buying for their infants to eat, reported the Winnipeg Free Press.

The survey found GM ingredients in products by Loblaws, Nestlé, Mead Johnson, Kraft and Ross Products. Other companies, such as Earth’s Best, Milupa, Healthy Times and Tiny Bites, have removed genetically modified ingredients from their products, the survey says.

Heinz has committed to removing GM ingredients from its baby food products.
