
FrieslandCampina has appointed Frans Keurentjes as the new chairman of the European dairy group.
Keurentjes will take up the post at the head of the board and supervisory board on 20 December this year. He succeeds Piet Boer who is standing down when his term ends. FrieslandCampina said Boer’s exit from the board is “in accordance with the articles of association”.
Keurentjes has been a member of the board and the supervisory board of FrieslandCampina since December 2006, and owns a dairy farm in Hornhuizen, Groningen.
In addition, Erwin Wunnekink has been appointed vice-chairman of the board and supervisory board of FrieslandCampina. He will succeed Jan Keijsers, who has been vice-chairman since 2014. Keijsers will remain a member of the board of the cooperative until December 2017, when he will stand down in accordance with the articles of association.
The company also appointed two new board memners: Hans Hettinga and Gjalt Mulder. The two new board members will succeed Piet Boer and Simon Ruiter, who will stand down “in accordance with the articles of association”, the company said.
