Rapelli meats and Noppa’s tofu owner Orior has named a new CFO after the previous incumbent moved to Swiss peer Emmi.
Andreas Lindner, the CFO of another Switzerland-based firm, the herbal sweets maker Ricola, will join Orior in October. Until then, Orior veteran and management team member Bernhard Pfulg will continue to lead the company’s finances on an interim basis.
In November, dairy group Emmi hired Ricarda Demarmels as its CFO, replacing Jörg Riboni.
Lindner, who joined Ricola as finance chief in 2008, has previously also been CFO of Mövenpick’s fine foods division and CFO of AO Foundation/Synthes Technology, a non-profit business focusing on improving the care of people with muscular and skeletal injuries.
“His thorough and sound financial knowledge, his strategic skills and many years of experience as CFO of internationally operating Swiss companies with long and rich tradition are quite exceptional,” Orior said yesterday (27 March).
Earlier this month, Orior reported its financial results for 2018. Revenue increased 6.9% to CHF576.7m (US$579.1m). EBIT was up 15.5% at CHF35.6m. Net profit climbed 25.8% to CHF31.8m.
