McDonald’s Holdings is planning to set up a series of small outlets in Japan that will not sell its traditional burgers. The new outlets, which will be called McDonald’s Café and Snack, will serve drinks and snacks to take away, but will not sell burgers. The first outlet to open will be inside an Aeon supermarket in Tokyo. The company aims to have five outlets opened by the end of this year, with several dozen planned for next year, reported the National Post.
