Eight of its products will then be available in late Spring in natural and speciality food stores and supermarket chains via natural products distributors KeHE and UNFI and others.

Strong Roots was founded in 2015 by Samuel Dennigan who spent a decade working for his family’s fresh produce distribution business in Dublin before seeing an opportunity to bring innovation to what he considered a sleepy frozen food market.

Its products – including root vegetables, veggie burgers and bites – are now sold via 4,000 retail outlets – including major supermarket chains – in the UK and Ireland as well as in ten other markets including Iceland and Singapore.

It has achieved sales of EUR20m (US$22.7m) over a three-year period.
