Bimbo will upgrade an existing 100,000 sq ft speculatively-built building. It said some 73 jobs will be created when the new processing facility in Valdosta opens.

The site will produce hot dog, hamburger and sandwich buns for customers across the south-eastern part of the US.

Al Gomez, general manager and vice president of Bimbo QSR’s US division, said: “We are very excited to partner with the state to bring this manufacturing site to Georgia, and to collaborate in the economic development of this area.

“This investment will allow us to serve our customers more effectively in the south-east region of the US.”
