2 Sisters Food Group’s red meat division is losing its procurement director after 22 year of service, as John Dracup chooses greener pastures to pursue his passion for farming.

Dracup will continue to work with the company, which also businesses in poultry, ready-made meals, biscuits and frozen foods, until January next year, 2 Sisters said in a statement. He will be replaced by Prys Morgan, who will work with Dracup over the next six months.

Andrew Cracknell, the managing director of 2 Sisters’ red meat division, said: “John will be hugely missed. His passion and knowledge for livestock is second to none and his recognition both internally and externally as one of the leaders in his field within the UK is truly deserved.”

Last month, Boparan Holdings, the parent of 2 Sisters, named former Associated British Foods executive Richard Pike as its new CFO. Pike, previously the managing director of ABF’s British Sugar arm, joined Boparan on 17 July.
