Kraft Foods has launched a new “lighter” cheese product in Australia, Kraft Livefree.

At 5.5% fat, Kraft said it is “four times lower in fat” than Australia’s other “light tasty cheese brands”. According to the company, Livefree is an all-natural cheese that is high in protein and Calcium.

Livefree was produced in partnership with local dairy group Warrnambool Cheese and Butter and will be manufactured in Australia, using Australian ingredients.

Livefree will be available in Coles this month and was rolled out to Woolworths and independent grocers in February.
