Australian frozen foods group Patties Foods said today (26 February) that it saw its half-year profits dropped despite a rise in sales.

For the six months ended 31 December net profit was down 35% to A$4.7m (US$3.1m).
The company enjoyed an increase in sales of 6.2% to A$90.48bn, driven mainly by growth in the company’s foodservice channel.
EBITDA, however, dropped 4.6% to A$13.1m. Retail sales also experienced a drop of 1.4% compared to the corresponding period in the prior year.
