PepsiCo’s Australian snacks division, Smith’s Snackfood Co, has added to its range with the launch of a line of air-popped products.
Sunbites Popcorn and Smith’s Popped potato snacks are cooked in hot air, not oil, so are lower in fat, PepsiCo said. The company is hoping to capitalise on the growth in consumer demand for healthy snacks with the launch.

“We’ve listened to what Australian consumers want and that’s healthier snacks. New Sunbites Popcorn and Smith’s Popped potato snacks provide consumers with a healthier, great tasting alternative,” said PepsiCo marketing director Jenni Dill.
Sunbites Popcorn is available in two flavours, Lightly Salted and Sour Cream & Chives, in 100g packs.
Smith’s Popped potato snacks is available in Salt & Vinegar, Sour Cream & Chives and BBQ flavours in 100g sharing packs and multi-packs containing five single serve packs.
